We have been in the new shop for five (5) years this month and when you hear the saying "Time flies when you are having fun", one certainly must believe it!  When you hear people say they "have" to work, I wonder why more people don't pick careers that they can fall in love with.  I love what I do and I love coming to the shop each day wondering what will be arriving thru the back doors; who might surprise me by paying a visit; or the cute little children who love to let loose and run the length of the floor!  So much fun when there is a youngster around!   The days fly by and it seems there is never enough time to accomplish all you want in one day!

The new website is working out pretty well as one tries to teach an old dog some new tricks!  The shop holds over 3000 bolts and so many patterns, books, kits, threads and notions that we are slowly building up the contents on the web.  Have a look and if you don't see what you are looking for, give us a call as it is possible the item just hasn't made it into the pages yet.

For 2013 we are beginning three (3) Mystery Saturday Samplers to be held on three different days of the month.  I have told most people what the focus will be but no more.  So, if anyone is interested you have three choices or possibly, make all three.  The first one will be a Winter theme; the second one is a Fall theme and the third one is an Americana theme.

We also are doing a couple of new Blocks of the Month.  The first one will start in February, providing all the fabric arrives in time for cutting and is called Amish With a Twist, Series II.  It is a lovely quilt made with all solids.

My count down to the "big" walk is coming closer and we hope to leave mid-May for 6 weeks to walk the El Camino de Santiago and return with a lot of stories, sore feet and many pictures!  Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we make our journey.

I must thank my help for putting up with me and who (or is it whom) I could not do what I do without them.  They are the cream of the crop in my opinion and are there for me whenever I need them.

Enjoy!
